Only a short stroll from the Tower Inn and the village of
Slapton lies Slapton sands- 6km of beautiful beach, fronted by Start Bay and
backed by Slapton Ley national nature reserve. The nature reserve is home to
many species of animals including otters, eels, dormice and a huge number of
birds and insects. Great for the nature lovers among you.

want to take advantage of the outdoors
There are a great number of walks in the area, whether
you want to take a leisurely stroll or a little more challenging walk, we will
be happy to suggest some favourites. The choices are endless, enjoy
all that the nature reserve has to offer or try any number of
stretches along the coast path, Slapton sands to Start Point light house,
a particular favourite for many.
Although tucked away we are only 7 miles from either
Kingsbridge or Dartmouth and 12 miles Totnes.
